**Until June 30th, your first cannon character does cost you any of your slots. Though you will need a free slot if you want a second cannon character.**
Cannons will be permitted upon the start of part 2 of the awakened few, you may app them right way though you must save your introductions for the second part of the awakened few event. For applying cannons there will be a few alterations to what you must do. A proper guide to how to app cannons and a proper set up will be made later on but for now follow these following guidelines in order, there will be some things you will need to do before you can officially start apping.
Step 1: Post below the cannon you would like to take on, When doing so post “ [Real Name] - [Hero/Villain Name] - [Stage/Age] Stage and age is referencing what part of time in their life that they are at. This is important for step 2 due to the fact that it tells the rest of us that you need to act like, for example, Harleen Quinzel and not Harley Quinn. When you post below no one else can take on the cannon you post unless a staff member posts that you failed to portray the character correctly and thus someone else make take their own shot at the character.
Step 2: Go to the Au Rp section at the bottom of the form and create a thread in your OOC Account labeled “Cannon Test Rp For: [Cannon’s most well known name]” When you get to the creation point click on Add poll beside the title place at the top add the name of the poll “Rate Me” put in the answer section 1-5 so that you have it listing from 5 going down to 1 in the listings. Keep the voters may select the same, for the lock date put 1 week from the current date, and for show results click ‘After voting’.
This will allow members to share their thoughts on how they think you did for staff to review since staff may not always know a character well enough to tell on our own. When posting you must rp out a solo rp (using no other cannons) something that takes place recently for your character, please do not rp out something that happens before where they are now, we want to know that you can rp out the stage of your cannon and where you want them, not some other stage. When you write put a minimum of 500 words into it so that we can get a good look of your character.
Step 3: After 4 days if enough people have voted in your poll (this is based on how many active members we have running around at the time right now you only need 3 members/votes)Staff will talk over their thoughts of your rp and within the day they will tell you if you may proceed onto the app section or if you failed to rp the cannon right. If not enough people have voted then the moment they have, or after the poll locks itself, 1 week after its creation you will be given the info you need. If you fail you may try out for any other cannon but before you can try again for the same cannon you must wait 3 more days, that is if it hasn't been taken by someone else by then.
Step 4: You may now make a character and combat app for your character, we will not accept anything that is clearly just copy and pasted from a wiki, we don't care if you copy small things for simplistic stakes, but please don't just copy and past and leaving random [3]s or anything that makes it bluntly obvious that you didn’t type it out. Try to be as accurate as possible leading up to anything that may conflict with someone else’s cannon. Look to see who was approved for a cannon and talk to them about how your character ties into them.
Alter history as needed but know that this should be the only history that should be altered for your character. When it comes to combat apps try to give them accurate powers and skills for what they should be as cannons, if they happen to go past the points permitted add to the rank you would give them “[Rank name] Cannon Broken to [the rank you would need to have enough points.] (for example if your character is normally a sidekick or close to that but you spent 34 points you would write ‘Sidekick Cannon Broken To Hero’) this way staff knows that they should ignore the point count for you though when your train up they know you can not spend any more points until you upgrade past the broken to rank.
For points just write if needed ‘Cannon broken, spent in powers [Number of points] points, and in skills [number of points] points.’ Everything else should be the same, after that point just try to be as accurate as you can. After this you should be helped out until you are able to be approved.
Please note there are rules for cannons that should be followed. If you become Superman, you are not to use that to just attack people all the time. If we hear that you keep following around random sidekicks or others who have no chance against you just to fight them and are preventing their plot furtherment, we will assist them in the fight to make it even and give you a warning, You have only 3 warnings when it comes to cannons before we take away the right to rp cannons.
Remember just because you can doesn’t mean you should. We aren’t telling you to lose fights or anything, we just don’t want you hunting down members just to beat up because reasons. That is not okay, and there is no reason for it. It may be fun for you, but it is not fun for anyone else. Be respectful and you should have nothing to worry about. Other than what has been provided there are no other major rules for cannons as of this moment. If everyone stays respectful of each other and fair with one and other there should be no need for any new rules.
Though if issues occur we will add more rules. Also if there are any issues you have when making cannons, or when interacting with cannons let staff know so that we can fix the issue. Our set up may have flaws and we know that so we want to make sure we fix any that appear to make things as fun for everyone as possible.
