No one has yet to figure out how to free them or where they are in the spirit world. The Earth kingdom during this time turned into a realm where its leader is now voted upon much like Republic city. Republic City it'self rebuilding outwards from where it once was making the city's center where the Portal to the Spirit world and the center of where the spirits choose to stay now lays. The Air bending civilization also grew further and now have rebuilt the old temples to stand as the new cities of the air bending people who now along with other individuals from other nations go from nation to nation help bringing peace while the Avatar is gone. Mako eventually became chief of the new Republic city's police while also going from place to place at times protecting important individuals as he was needed. Bolin finding himself marrying Opal and growing his life with her while going from place to place helping who ever they can as they go, most of their deeds after the stopping of the general being their assisting in fixing the damages made to the earth nation. Now finally things have been repaired though the avatar and Asami have yet to be located. As time has passed more and more benders have found some new ways to bend things that most never would have thought to be possible. This being due to benders taking note of all of the new bending capabilities that came during avatar Korra's and some from avatars Aang's times, Such as blood bending, metal bending, lava bending, and combustion bending. These opening the minds further of benders making them rethink the limit of what bending can be. Many new forms opening up to others though many of these new bending styles being heavily limited to a select few individuals due to difficulty, rarity, and banning of certain forms of bending being made. After seeing the dangerous capabilities of combustion bending, lava bending, blood bending, and other forms of bending a law was passed for the time being of benders actively finding new forms of bending since others fear the possibility of warfare and battle between benders with these abilities. This though doesn't stop many select groups, nor did it stop many from mass teaching current forms of bending to others like the mass teachings that came post learning of the possibility of metal bending. Due to these new discoveries and seeing the titan that was the metal beast used in the conquering of the earth nation technology as also progressed in hopes to keep up with benders. Many forms of new age weapons have come to pass as well many of which being able to replicate certain forms of bending to level the playing field for non benders. Due to these developments recently a new nation has formed, it being the nation of non benders, this nation for now allowing benders to enter it but bending being strictly against the law while being inside the city. For now this new nation that, is located on an island made with this new technology on the ocean's waters, is at peace with all the other nations. Though many fear what may come in time with this new nation and their hatred for benders due to all of the pain that has come with them. We are now 10 years after the disappearance of the Avatar. Despite that, once you get to know him, he's not as much of a brat as he seems. He's playful and mischievous,and enjoys teasing his friends,not to mention pranking them upon occasion.
