The world is filled with many odd and creepy things, many of which others cant really explain how or why things have reached to the point that they have, or explain what something even is. It's even harder to live day to day in a world like this when you have been one of many who have been hit by a beam of light that reprograms your mind and body making you forget who you are and drives you to use your new found abilities to kill and destroy everything around you. The worst part is some others like you from the main group actually broke the coding some how and you weren't given a mission to kill everyone so you don't know whats going on at all but everyone saw you getting hit with a beam of light so they want to attack you!
Beams of light are striking all over the USA and coming down from somewhere in the skies. They are big enough to engulf one person per beam and when they land they kill everyone within 20 feet of the beam and trash all of the environment making it look like a giant fight broke loose. People struck by this lose all of their memories and gain powers based on their environment, and the people around them. They are left either feeling the need to kill everyone and thing around them and does so, or they are left just memory less and confused with random powers they may or may not be able to control. Police and heroes are being sent to the locations to fight off the threats not knowing that not all of them are threats due to the fact that they look like they had just killed everyone around them, and everything. That and the fact that 80% of the people like them are currently trying to kill more people. And just destroy more things. The first half of this event is where members trying to fight and figure out whats going on with these individuals.
All members who join one of these threads within the first 3 rotations and stay in it actively until the announcement in at least one of these threads of it being half way over will be given pms from me to their ooc account. This pmwill tell them the rules of being an awakened few character, at this point members will have 2 weeks before the second part begins to use their slot to make a character that whas hit by a beam of light. These characters are free and you do not have to give up a slot from your mains to make them. The first thread you must be in with these characters is one of the part 2 threads after that thread is finished for you you will be allowed to use the character as you please.
The threads here will start off in the base of location for each created Awakened character made and will start off with the character and what they were doing right before the light hit and then will lead into what they were doing during part 1. This will serve as the intros to all of these characters. These threads will lead these characters to potentially go into running in with the mains who first entered this event and maybe more. Now that the mains would have figured out whats going on with these people they will be tasked with the duty (if they so accept) to work with the awakened who may have their free will to capture those who do not and get them safely locked up to help look into what happened to them and how to get their memories back. This event will not explain what the lights were nor who or what caused them though this event will likely lead into another one and or a future site arc.
You will be instantly gifted with renown from being one of the awakened few, and will automatically be up for being included in the sites time line by being listed by name and will have a big part in the summary for it. You will also be auto placed as a major main character in any future events and arcs relating to this event and will take high priority along with your fellow awakened few to get the most attention. Finally if you make it through from start to finish you will be rewarded $100.00 to your OOC account, any characters you used from start to finish in this thread with, and your awakened few character. Any posts made with this character in this time can be used for the total needed for your character limit being upgraded.

You may do this though out all of the duration of part 1 so if you make a new character during this time in a location where there is not already a part going on in so they can join in on the fun. Though if you want to join the event and there's already a thread going on for that area you will have to talk to those in it to see what happened so far and join in it from where it already is.

Part 1 Concept
